The Little Falls Post Office

ON MARCH 30, 1797, John Porteous was appointed postmaster at the little falls, and the post office was located in his store. The early mail was delivered once a week punctually by Adam Feeter.

The Dale Family of Little Falls

The Little Falls Historical Society Museum would like to wish you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day with highlighting an Irish family, the Dale Family, who has had such a significant impact on the City of Little Falls.

A a hand operated pumper was purchased by Company No.2, the Protection Asterogan Engine Hose Company, later known as the Mohawk Valley Hose Company, with it being stored in the Petrie Street Armory, which is the present-day location of the former German Christ Lutheran Church at 14 Petrie Street, which reconstructed the armory in 1901 into a church.
