LITTLE FALLS HISTORICAL SOCIETY AWARDS TWO SCHOLARSHIPS

Our officers and directors are proud to announce that the Historical Society worked with the Little Falls Central School District to award 2022 scholarships to two members of the Class of 2022.

Both scholarships were funded by anonymous Historical Society members. Thank you.

Scholarship #1  –  Was awarded to a graduating senior who has completed some number of hours of community service during her/his high school career and will major in history or a related field at the collegiate level. This 2022 scholarship for $500 was awarded to MADISON BRAND.

Scholarship #2  –  The Charles P. Colby Jr. Scholarship was awarded to a graduating senior who overcame significant hardship to achieve academic success. This 2022 scholarship for $500 was awarded to MCKENZIE EELLS.

The Little Falls Historical Society is proud to continue to expand our programming into various educational disciplines and activities. 

The Historical Society recently completed our third year of collaboration with the SUNY Oneonta Cooperstown Museum Studies graduate program. This partnership has generated an on-line book in 2020 and a driving tour in 2021, both focused on key Little Falls historic sites. When completed, the 2022 project will add five additional sites to the 2021 driving tour.

Our collective membership has generated close to 150 writing series articles since our inaugural year in 2010.
